SKATE RELATED QUESTIONS
Does the skateboard Mount do any damage to the decks?
The Skate hanger which is mounted to the deck uses the existing truck hole pattern and the supplied screws are the same width of normal truck bolts. The mount is flat just like the base of a truck and does no damage to the board. If you are choosing to display a collectable or precious board, we suggest putting a skate riser pad between the hanger and the deck for peace of mind. You can also insert foam, fabric or anything else you may desire.
How do the boards move on the wall mount?
The NBD wall mount is designed with 20 steel rods factory welded to the mount. Each hanger has been crafted to fit perfectly over each rod and allow for the hanger to 'swivel & pivot' on the rod. You can then lift off the item attached to the hanger and replace with ease.
How many boards can i fit with NBD compared to traditional wall peg stack systems?
With the NBD 1 meter system you can fit up to 20 decks in 1 meter. If you are using traditional peg wall or front face display systems, boards usually need 10-11 inches for display area. This means roughly 3 - 4 decks using traditional methods compared to the 20 in the same wall space of 1 meter when using NBD.
When 'Flicking' Through boards on the NBD system, how do the boards not get damaged when they make contact with each other?
The NBD wall mount rods have been spaced apart so there is as little contact as possible. When the decks are on the hangers, the hanger has a lip on the end which is smooth and covers the bolts that would touch the deck behind. The hanger lip is longer than the wing nuts and bolts, eliminating any contact from those items. The lip can touch the board hanging behind, but due to its smooth design does little to no damage at all to any deck it makes contact with.
How easy is it to attach a deck, and if i want to stand on the deck in a store to see length and concave is it easy to remove and replace?
In retail environments decks can be displayed on the hangers using 2 bolts and 2 wing nuts to fasten the deck to the hanger. It takes literally seconds to take the board off the hanger and re secure it. If you want to test the wheelbase, feel or stand on a deck in store, simply ask the staff to remove the hanger or do it yourself. It's extremely simple.
